Any Long Island, New York members out there?

I am very interested in moving from my Parker 21 se to a SC 23 CC. I have never ridden in one and would really like to do this before committing to a change. I doubt people still have their boats in the water (unlike me, I had 10 bass 3 days ago off Moriches) but maybe I can set up something with some one in the spring (for a demo) I'm not sure if this is asking too much or not. I'll pay for gas/lunch etc. whatever. I'm not a stalker or anything either, just someone addicted to the water and fishing.

My boats are winterized now, Ron. But when the spring rolls around, I could take you out in my 25' Seafari. (350/Alpha 2) I know it rides a bit different than the 23', but if you are interested I'll take ya. Maybe you'll buy it!

Dare I say, you will find the ride to be a night and day difference.

Two years ago i went from a 21 Hydra-Sport to a 23' 1978 SeaCraft. You will be amazed. I guarantee it.

The only downer you will find is that a 23 foot SeaCraft will require more horsepower & gas than your current rig. Life is all about trade-offs.

With my SeaCraft (it's got twin 1998 150 Yamaha carb engines) I could get about 1.6 to 1.7 Miles per gallon. I would think that the more fuel efficent two strokes or 4 strokes could get you between 2.25 to 2.5 miles per gallon.

Good luck.

I'm up in Mt. Sinai running a 23 i/o cc. come up and do some fluking in the spring. I've had her for a couple of years-cuts the LIS chop like a champ.

Darn, We needed some excitement around here, a Stalker would
be great, Heck even a "Peeping Tom" once in a while would be OK! :D

See ya, Ken

Thanks for the responses and the offers guys. I would definitely like to meet up in the spring to see what these hulls are all about. There is one guy that I see fishing Moriches Inlet with a 23 with a bracket plus a 300 HPDI. That rig seems to handle the rough stuff effortlessly. It's navy blue if anyone knows the boat and no t top.
