Possibly new boat & tackle stand on a 23' SeaCraft

I hope that I have found my new old classic SeaCraft. It comes with a redone/raised deck & thru thansom scuppers, closed transom and armstrong bracket. Also, twin Yamaha 200's.

I have a deposit on the boat. It has sat in storage for a couple of years so the owner is getting the engines tuned up and the like. I am hoping to sea trial it (with a surveyor tagging along) within the next 2 weeks. Providing that there are no surprises (owner seems like a very decent guy), I will pay him the balance and bring it home. I will post pictures that moment it is mine (if I post them any earlier I am afriad that it will bring bad luck my way).

Anyway, I am very interested to know who has a tackle stand/center on their SeaCraft. This boat is screaming for one.

Thanks,

Peter

Assuming that I get this new old boat, I will want to do a couple of things.

First, I am looking at a tackle stand. To me the 3 most obvious options are
1) To have one underneath or built into the leaning post
2) Built into the enclosed transom
3) Buying one of those new designed cutting boards that have tackle compartments built on.

I am very curious as to what other SeaCrafter's have done.

Other possible projects on the new old boat include installing a live well (it does not have one & I like the one that I believe you have built into your transom), putting a seat up front and possibly changing out the current tee top (Don B. here I come)

This is what I did with my CC I glassed in two compartments the one for tackle and the other for fresh water hose.

I had this Nautical Designs unit on my Whaler and wish it were on my SC now. Underneath was room for the std. life jacket bag, ditch bag, and throw cushion after removing the aux. fuel tank. I miss it!!
Command center seating in NC makes some really nice combo leaning posts/bait tanks also.

Well, tomorrow is the big day of reckoning for me. I will sea trial the boat I have had a deposit on for some time. Also, I will have a surveyor with me. Providing that everything checks out (I sure hope that it does) I will be bringing her home tomorrow afternoon.

At the risk of jinxing myself here is a picture of the new old girl.

Please say a prayer for me.

Thanks,

Peter
