1978 23 CC - Xducer and underwater light placement

I already have a ducer on the bottom of the "V", adding a second to the boat and not sure where to mount it. Any thoughts - does not have speed/temp.

Also where is a good spot on these 23's for an undewater light since the livewell is in the way. Wanted to go with one - sucks if it has to be on one side.

I also placed my ducer at the bottom of the V and have thought along the same lines. Airmar makes a new ducer that incorporates the angle for your boat so you can drill a hole on either side of the hull and it will still shout straight down. As for the lights that’s another story. You could put one green on one side and one blue on the other for fish attraction. Or use two white lights can’t help you much there. That things to look out for is generating cavitation under the prop or props of the boat and not to put stuff where a fork lift normally would life the boat if it needed to.

Usually the fork lift guys like to place the forks on the out wart chine’s of the boat. But some guys will go inside of the tabs.

Did you already get the ducer? If so which one.

I recently installed the Airmar tilted element on my 23'. Mine went to port of center. The only time I have lost bottom is when airborn :D......There are some pics posted on this site.
