I am guessing in the mid 40's, if not a little higher.

Re: 1973 23 SEACRAFT rePOWER
My '73 23' cc w/bracket, single 250 OX66, 17p ss prop,t-top w/curtains, 2 batteries, full fuel, loaded to fish, 44 gps.
A little slow getting on plane. At repower (no time soon I hope)will look at Suzi 300 or twin 150/175/200. |
Re: 1973 23 SEACRAFT rePOWER
my guess is 37kts.(42mph) That tower will take off 3-5mph depending on wind.

Re: 1973 23 SEACRAFT rePOWER
I think Brian is close. The tower will slow you more than you might think, though. I'd estimate 34-35 knots loaded, maybe 37-38 running light.
My old '74 Tsunami with an '88/02 225 Johnrude and a clean hull ran about 29-30 kts, and another Sceptre around here with a 250 Mercury Opti and CSC Slickote bottom paint was only running about 35-36 kts WOT, according to the owner. |
