Fishing
 

My son-n-law will be in Melbourne, Florida, the week of 18th of June and thought since they moved from Tiderwater, Va, a couple years ago to Mich. a neat half day head boat trip might be nice. I've been invited also by Grandaughter (6) to join so I think I will.
The real question is, are there head boats in or around that area to do this on?

There are a couple at Port Canaveral, the Orlando Princess and the Miss Cape Canaveral, just 20 mi. north of there, but a better bet would be the Rogue Wave in Sebastian, or the Seven B’s or Lady Stuart II in Ft. Pierce or Lady Stuart in Stuart, just 20, 40, and 55 miles south, respectively. The farther south you go toward the Stuart/Jupiter area, the better the fishin', in my experience.

The Orlando Princess is a half day boat. The Miss Cape Canaveral is a full day boat. Both boats do ok. Another boat out of Port Canaveral is the Ocean Obsession. This too is a full day boat. More of the serious fisherman go in this boat. They have a web site you can check daily for pictures of local catches. http://www.sunrisemarina.com/index.php

Sorry Fr. Frank I think the fishing is good almost anywhere on the east coast. It just depends on the Captain and lady luck.
