WoW! Looks great. What kind of work did you have to do? I'm getting ready to have mine bottom painted also, did you do it yourself or have someone do it?

BryanD Did it myself. Called a soda blaster but they didn't do small boats. Removed from trailor, suited up with tyvek suit(should have gotten one with hood)and full face respirator.Laid out large sheet of polly under work.Removed old paint with hand drill and 5" 60 grit discs.Hand sended with 100 grit.Wiped with Pettit Brushing Thinner. Two coats of Pettit Vivid.

How long did it take you to remove the old paint? I repaint my Seafari every 4 years with Slickote, but I haven't removed the old paint entirely. I just go at it with 80 grit and a hand sander to smooth it out. The previous owner had it sandblasted and epoxy'd before he repainted, now 10 years ago.

Fr.Frank It took about 8 hours with the 5" discs.Used the 3M drill attachment with the velcro pad which made it easy to change discs.Whole job took 3 days.Day1 remove from trailor and remove paint(long day).Second day hand sand wipe and 2 coats paint.Third day put back on trailor and paint the 4 support areas.
