1984 Tsunami Seacraft???

I'm looking at a 1984 23' Seacraft Tsunami center console with a 225 merc. The layout is very different than the pictures of similar 23's on your website. The casting platform has two large halfmoon hatches, the center console has two large teak doors on each side (port and starboard) the stern has two small "step" boxes similiar to the old robalo boats. It has the Tsunami name plate one each side. There is a large in floor bait well just behind the leaning post. The transom appears to be solid (stood on engine cavation plate/no movement) but i can tell it used to have twin outboards from the sealed off holes. Is this a Seacraft? I'll try to attach some pictures.

You have a Tsunami, not a SeaCraft.

What is a Tsunami? does it have a similar hull design to seacraft? Are they any good? The seller is asking 17k it needs some work, but overall its a nice looking boat.

Is this boat in south florida on craigslist? if so it is indeed A Tsunami and not a Seacraft. Not that there is anything wrong with a Tsunami, but the hull is not a variable deadrise, like a seacraft

Yes, its in Ft. Lauderdale. So it does not ride as well as the seacraft. I'll go back to my search. My friends tell me nothing performs like a seacraft hull!

I own a 1984 Tsunami Seacraft and they do exist. They are like a Sceptre, but my fish boxes are raised with my seats mounted on them and each can hold 3 50lb stripped bass. My beam measures over 8'. I also have the full teak package with teak on top of the gunwales, Teak Rod Holders with shelves, teak rear split splash board and teak in the cabin door entrance and entrance way. It is indeed the last year of the classic hull. Topped off with Twin 150 Merc outboards. One mean ocean machine. Will send pics if you like.

Re: 1984 Tsunami Seacraft???

SeaCraft did NOT make the '84 Tsunami. SeaCraft dropped the Tsunami name and called the same hull the Sceptre in the mid '70's after being threatened with a lawsuit. If it's an '84 and it's a Tsunami, it's not a SeaCraft. Also, the SeaCraft Tsunami was a cuddy-cabin, not a center console.

This boat Tsunami is a nice boat, but not a SeaCraft
