SeaCraft Gas tanks

All,
I just got back from marine liquidators in Ft Pierce. They have about a dozen tanks, 80 gal, that are 27x86x11, or something close to that. They would fit right in the belly of a 23' SeaCraft. They came from Ellis in Perry Fl, and have a manuf date of 2003 or something like that. I wrote the info down, but lost the paper. Anyways, if your looking for a tank that size, they sell them for 3 bucks a gallon, that would be about 240 bucks, which is alot less than having one built.
Also, the boat manuf. must of fallen on hard times, they have got about twice as much stuff stacked in the yard as the last time I was down there.

The reason why is because they use to want as much (or more) for there used parts as what they could be bought for new. I discovered this when I went to Stuart a few months ago to pick up my Seavette. Maybe people have finally wised up some. ;)

Lost - that is true for some stuff . . . but you can't beat $90 for a 3500lb 78" galvanized axle with new hubs, bearings, seals, and bearing buddies. I bought two of these the last time I was down there.

They are pretty expensive for the most part. I stop there on the way to the keys a couple times a year. I have bought some rare and hard to find stuff though.

About the gas tank; I know 80 gals will suit you fine in FLA but IMO it could hurt your resale. Most other areas you have to go farther for the fish. That being said if I lived there Id probably go for one smaller than my 148 gal tank.
