Oil Wreck Rally, NJ CSC
Anybody up for a rally at the Oil Wreck in mid-October?
Weather can be a challenge, but so what, we have Potter hulls. :D |
Re: Oil Wreck Rally, NJ CSC
Jeff, do you mean the Texas Towers?

Re: Oil Wreck Rally, NJ CSC
Nope, the Oil Wreck lies at the tip of the western edge of the Mud Hole, only about 15 miles east of Manasqaun Inlet for you south Jersey boyz...long ride from Little Egg though...

Re: Oil Wreck Rally, NJ CSC
This should be interesting
You guys have a hard enough time trying to meet on land. Now you are going to meet underwater on a dive! :D  :D :D See ya, Ken |
Re: Oil Wreck Rally, NJ CSC
Looks like a window this sunday if the wind stays down...
http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/data/Foreca...US51.KPHI.html Rumors of 50 pound BFT in the Mud Hole and decent Mahi...hmmmm. Tournament Rules: Check-in VHF 65, report boated fish and species, lines out when it gets sporty. The odds of this event actually happening is to say the least...a long shot. By the way Finny, this is not a diving event. :D |
Re: Oil Wreck Rally, NJ CSC
Jeff,
I would love to go out but I got a wedding in the eastern end of Long island on Saturday and some family stuff on Sunday. Here is a good recent report web page of one guy who got a nice wahoo, bluefin and dophin all in the mudhole. Good luck and let us know how you do. Peter |
