New canvas

Picked the little boat up today and im ready for cold weather now. Thought I was gonna get good quality parts but, what he used I never imaged to be so good. Quality canvas even covering where the bow work is so it doesn't chaf the clear plastic, heavy guage plastic, nice pop on snaps instead of button snaps, and stainless bow work. I can take all the clear plastic off in the summer and still good a good breeze, and it only cost me $2,000

Re: New canvas

The canvas strips over the frame will also keep the plastic from yellowing as the steel heats up in the sun. At least thats what my canvas guy explained when I had mine done in similar fashion recently. Great job on yours.

Yea its hard to beleive what the boat started out like a year ago, and what my original plans were for minimal work to it.

I think I just saved $2000 by living in South Florida!

It looks nice & I'm sure will allow you to use your boat more often ...

Yes, when fixing up a boat, one thing always leads to another, and another ....
Happy Holiday!

Re: New canvas

Well since this boat doesn't have anything to mount a heater to I decided to get a 90 deg rod holder and mount it in the floor and for now im using an old rod I cut off to mount the heater on till I can get someone to make me one from alluminum.
