I have an '89 175 Johnson that still runs strong, comes with full controls. Been in freshwater for the past 4 years. Motor and controls are in Stuart. Just took it off to repower my boat. Email me if you're interested.

Tom - any 2.0L merc or 2.4L mercs are great picks . . . doesn't matter so much on the engines age rather how well it was maintained. Nat's 1989 225 is a good pick too if you want a very reliable motor and some speed. The v6 2.0L merc burns less fuel than the 125hp I4.
