Anti-Bond

Well,I never thought I would see it,and this may be old news, but this stuff really made short work of cured 5200.I recently bought an 88' 20 that is in really fairly good shape.I wanted to take up the hatch covering the fuel tank to have a look down below before I AwlGrip the boat but the console had to come off first.Naturally it was put down with 5200 and wasn't comming up without a fight.I was turned on to this Anti-Bond stuff and after applying on the inside and outside of the flange on the console, then letting it sit for the time it took to drink one beer(which for me isn't long, just ask Ikan)I started at one end and worked my around and in 10 minutes it was off.Very Cool stuff!

Joey,

Where do I find this Anti-bond? I am in Hawaii so a website may be in order for me. Thanks, Greg

I bought some a couple of years ago at West Marine.

Re: Anti-Bond

I found it at my neighborhood marine supply store right next to the 5200.It is a little 1.5oz can with a straw like the ones that come with a can of WD-40.I have looked on the can for a web site, but it doesn't appear to have one. There may have been a site listed on the carton that it came in,but that is long gone.Try google and the next time I'm at that store I'll look for you.
