1976 20 ft . Is my console to big?

I have a 1976 20 ft seacraft,My center console measures 36 inches wide,it is the original console ,I would like to know if that is the size that the 20 footers come with,I saw a 1979 with a 28 inch console and he has way more room to get around the boat, mine on the other hand looks like it belongs on a 23 footer thanks

that is the orignal console I cut mine down to 28 inches to give me more room I think it is WAY to big. I plan on puting in a t top so i had to make it smaller therwise you would not be able to walk around the console! http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q...re98/004-2.jpg http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q...fire98/013.jpg http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q...re98/008-1.jpg http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q...fire98/004.jpg

I have read your post,I was just wondering if they put in a bigger console than usual in my boat, did your's come with the front seat and windshield,if so are you going to replace it? my big concern is if i cut it as you did , i will need to find a new windshield or do without it?

I have had several clear windshields made in Houston. I will get you a contact and number to call. I thought they were very reasonable. They can do clear or tinted.
