Barrier Coat

I finally went ahead and had the 38 years of bottom paint soda blasted off the bottom. The boat was originally red gelcoat but had many coats of bottom paint and was very rough. I have some dings to fill in but no blisters, and was considering quick fair for the dings. What is the recommended barrier coat?

If you are talking about System 3's Quikfair, in my opinion its O.K. for minor, shallow surface scratches and dings, but not good for barrier coating the entire bottom.

Quickfair will work well for minor dings, etc. Then you will want to use Interprotect 2000 (or equivalent from Petitt, Awlgrip, etc) for the barrier coating.
