New Job

Felt that you Guys would like a update. As a lot of you know last year I got laid off from a job I held for 18 years in the Insurance field.
A lot of you Guys would also remember either seeing me in many of the fishing and boating magazines as well as doing TV spots representing Bennett Marine for their trim tabs.
The advertising which still airs is of me talking about and showing pictures of my 23’ SeaCraft rebuild mostly during the airing of Ship Shape TV showings.

Well this week I started working for Bennett Marine here is South Florida. I will be doing customer service trouble shooting plus account rep. & customer service work for approx 50 boat manufacturers plus distributors, retailers and marine repair locations trouble shooting for them as well.

So the bottom line is this, I will be getting paid now to talking about Boats. That can’t be all that bad not can it.

Fellow-ship,

You just made my day with your post! Congratulations on the job and the pay check. The best news in your post is that you will be working with fellow boaters and in a way that should really feel good - Getting paid to help others achieve their objectives!

I know "all too well" what you have been through. Let me just say that my Scepter has been "on the hard" for longer than I care to admit. For me, your success in landing such a position lifts my spirits. Now, just "Get 'er done!"

Congrats!

Congratulations Ken,

What a great company to work for!!!!
Tabman (Tom) and Bennett were very kind to CSC
last year when they donated 2 sets of tabs for
our gathering at Anclote Key.
Not enough good things can be said about your company.
You may have to change your name now to "Trim up" :D

See ya, Ken

Re: New Job

Thanks Guys for caring.
Bennett is one excellent company, both to the boating consumers as we all know well and also to their staff. I am really amazed how well I have been treated this first week.
I will be in a intense training program for the next 6 weeks or so before they let me loose dealing with the public. So let me know if you need some help and I will do my Best to accommodate all your needs. I will also be working the booth at the Miami boat shows both the one in February for the public and the other one for the builders and distributors of products.

Good work Ken! from your history on this site it looks like you have a natural desire to help others and now you are going to get paid to do it. I guess this means you can now write off all your boating expenses. Bennett is great. One of my brand new tabs on the 20 failed and they sent me a new one right away. Bennett is supposed to be re-inventing their auto trim system which I am very interested in for the 25 seafari.

Congratulations Ken - working for a great outfit doing a job that's fun - it doesn't get much better than that! The Bennett tabs I bought over 30 years ago are still working great! Best money I ever spent on that boat - made my Seafari think it was about 3' longer! :D

Re: New Job

Congrats!!!! IMHO, Bennett and Tom have offered the definition of customer service. I would like to work for a company with that reputation. I had a 22' Whaler for 9 years prior to this SeaCraft. I installed Bennett tabs and after a short while the pump leaked (console mounted). Tom "next day" shipped a new pump no charge and just asked I send the old one back at my convenience for evaluation (product improvement). It doesn't get any better than that!
