Deck replacement in 20SF

I know there are many post here on deck replacement and raising the deck in a 20SF.
My question is most post say to raise the deck 2" to make it self bailing out the transome, is it 2" total or 2" on the stringers then the deck thickness for a total of about 2 3/4"

I did 3 layers of 3/4 on top of the stringers and 3/4 deck so it is 3 inches overall. It depends on what motor you are putting on and if you decide to move the gas tank forward or not. There are definatley some varaibles involved.

I'm thinking 150 etec on a flotation bracket and moving the fuel forward and adding a 13 or 15gal fresh water tank forward for washdown
