Enclosed transom with door?

Has anybody ever enclosed their transom and installled a transom door to step out on to the bracket?
If so, do you have pics? If not, why?
Thanks!

Re: Enclosed transom with door?

I thought about it when I did mine, but decided against it.
I use the original designed storage boxes/hatches, one for garbage, one insulated for frozen bait, and the live well in the middle. I would of had to scrap both storage boxes, and moved the livewell offset, which I didn't want to do.

Those are handy on the big sportfishers, especially if your pulling a big tuna in, to pull them through the door. I don't tuna fish, and any big billfish we get, release boatside, so the door didn't do much for me. If you dive, it is probably nice to get in and out of. IMHO, they look a little goofey on a 23' boat.
