installing a ball scupper
 

i'm putting the rabud scupper balls on my inboard sceptre, but i am having a issue with the uneven hull around the hole. the hull is lowered foreward of the scupper hole i guess to create an air pockect. Amy one else had this problem and what did u do?

Where exactly are you mounting these? On the transom? I think that is how I have seen them on other boats. When you guys change your scuppers to thru-transom, I assume that you have to patch the bottom of the hull where the old tubes were?

Has anyone else installed them at the original scupper location? Seems odd to have them stick down like that.

You can't use the ball scupper on the bottom of the hull. The ball scupper is to be installed on the stern. If you mount it on the bottom of the hull you'll add drag and make some pretty crazy rooster tails and most likey bust them off the first time out. I'd use garber plugs when your at rest fishing and just remember to pull them when you run. Or take the time and run the scuppers out the stern and patch the holes on the bottom.

I'm gonna forget that idea. thanks for the info brothers. I'll stick with the plugs for now. Almost time to go fishing , no time to change the scupper hole
