20ft center consule transom

I just picked up my 20 project what do you guys think
about the closed transom and adding bracket.
Or keeping it with 25" transom. Is there a big difference.

ive got the 25 inch transom on mine and its been ok. ive got the splashwell and it gets water out pretty fast.
