Original 21 Black jack restoration progress
Here are some pics of the transom installation.Renicell 2" 20 LB epoxied with 3 layers 1708 Biax & 2 layers 1700 biax alternating. looking good how much lighter is the reincel? how was it to glass to?

The renicell is heavy, but not as heavy as equally thick plywood. It did well, great adhesion. The top layer of cells are open so the epoxy ws able to bite into the material.
I had some issues with the glass, while it was on rolls, it had 4 lenghtwise ridges-peaks like the glass had been previously folded, I could not squeegie it out. I will be doing some grinding before the final cosmetic layer of glass. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...0Biaxcloth.jpg |
