Portabracket on SC 23

Does anyone have a portabracket on their 23SC? I have a 1974 and would like to perhaps put a F225 on one, or a Hermco bracket. Would like opinions, I know I will enclose the transom soon. Thanks.

Until some one answers, I remember there was a SC for sale that had a Portabracket on. You might want to check the past for sale ads here on this sight and see if you can locate it.

There's a 20' CC with a portabracket for sale here in Crystal River. I believe it has a newer Yamaha on the back. I climbed up in the boat and it had some soft spots in the deck. I'll try to get and post a coupe of pics later today.

A ex neighbor of mine who is a Charter Capt. (see photo post big tarpon) has a 23 foot Avenger boat with a tower. He runs a Merc 250 on a Porta Bracket. This is is second boat in the last 8 years with the same set up. He loves the PB because it allows him to fish a wide variety of depths. I would think if shallow fishing is not a high priority a hermco bracket would be a better set up for a 23 footer.
