1976 SeaCraft Savage inboard restoration project
 

We purchased this boat 3/93 (what's the rush) ?
Sat in dry stack from 1976 (sold in '77 by 70 West Marina here in Morehead City, NC until 3/93) We are 3rd owner
Sat on blocks outside forever... 9 years & then sat inside since then...
LONG time father & son project (more like son project with father's money) !
Maybe she will run this year !
New 1999 Yanmar 230
New ZF gear - 1.51 : 1
New pair of custom built 70 gallon tanks
New console from a Hancock (local) C/C with lift actuators
New Hancock & Grandsons T-Top and e-box
Bennett tabs
Auto pilot, yada... new EVERYTHING...
Transom was rotten with a few soft spots in deck - Coosa board replacements. Refinishing cuddy
WANT advice - propeller & pulpit - has anyone messed with either ?

Wow, Looks Fantastic. CC, electronics, displays configuration & T-top look really sweet. Inboard diesel workhorse, cool. Get some more pics up... Looking ready to fish.

Looks great. I took off the glove boxes and made additional seating area.

Here are some more pictures... let us know what you think...
-We are working on a pulpit with an anchor roller and keeping the original railing.
-The tanks are getting epoxy primed soon and will be set in when the transom is done
-The rest of the rigging will be finished soon with a new morse shifter

We will be running the boat on biodiesel when we get it in the water. I think the existing fuel lines (brand new) are rubber. Will we have to worry about them deteriorating due to biodiesel? If so, can we change to Viton hose?

Wait, are you suggesting that the console and t-top tilt down just aft the cuddy for tuckin' into the garage. Pulpit is sweet! Anchor roller will be awesome. What the hay, raise the deck on the pulpit and have the anchor slide in under your feet into some form of drawer. Kudos dude-os Your rig is really well thought out.

McGillicuddy, we actually made the console tilt to obtain quick access to the Yanmar and accessories.
Endured - sweet looking SesCraft... !

HEY! Cover up that motor with some plastic wrap. Don't want dust and crud getting into everything including the intake.
