Seacraft Penske delamination
Attached are some pictures of the cockpit sole of a seacraft 23 that was
recently rebiult using penske board with a fiberglass laminate. You'll notice that after it was primed large blisters started to appear. When the blisters were cut out you could see that a thin layer of the penske board was still adhering to it. Anyone ever come across this problem? http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x...8/IM001420.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x...8/IM001423.jpg http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x...8/IM001426.jpg |
Re: Seacraft Penske delamination
I did the deck in my boat three years ago with penske and everything has been fine from the onset. As well a commercial fisherman friend of mine built his cockpit using penske five years ago with no problems. I will ask him him and his cohorts if they have seen any of this, they love the product and may have some info on this problem.

In the last pic, bottom left, the glass looks like it's not bonded.....looks like a gap under it.
