Some pics and an intro
Been lurking for awhile and decided to go ahead and jump in. Husband and I live in the Bahamas (but we are both from FL and have family there and visit often..St. Lucie and Brevard). We have a 23' CC Potter Hull that right now is in Freeport having new ETecs (2-150's) put on as well as some other minor work (glass work, thru hull and such) after one of our old yam's died a painful death and the other was soon to be declared terminal. Husband is bringing her home tomorrow..hopefully weather will hold. We noticed a post about a gathering in Abaco next year and hope to be able to join the gang...never met a boater/fisher/diver we didn't like! And we're always up for a trip on the water...assuming our gas prices don't go up anymore! Otherwise we might just have to modify and rig a sail up to the outriggers somehow! :D
Don't really have any nice clean shots like most of you have..will have to take some upon her return, but here's a few until then. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...t/100_1960.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...IMG_0028-1.jpg http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3.../Boat/rear.jpg [IMG]http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c359/meiersh/Boat/IMG_0028.jpg |

Suzy and Matt,
Welcome. Looks like a great boat you have there. I have twin Yamaha 200 HP OX66's right now on my 23' SeaCraft SF. I plan to drive the engines for as long as possible, but when I repower the E-Tecs will be at the top of the list. I will be very interested in your fuel consumption numbers. I would hope that you get at least 2 miles per gallon at cruise. Right now I get around 1.7 miles per gallon at cruise (unless it is snotty out in which case the numbers go southward fast). Also, how does the weight of the e-tecs compare with your previous engine setup? Best of luck. Peter |

Welcome!
Very nice boat! And we'll have a million questions :D What bracket is that? (Armstrong Widebody?) Who did the modification? Transom door? or cut out? When can we drop by for some cracked conch? Lloyd |

And... 1. really no clue...Matt'll have to answer that one when he gets back, but from what I can tell I think it is an Armstrong. 2. The mod was done by several people before we got our hands on her. She was a used and abused Bahamian boat that one of the guys here on base rebuilt/restored with the help of many of us here on base (its nice to be a self contained "city"...we have a person for every job in 1 sq. mile) 3.Cut out 4.Anytime, but da conch salad is bettah dan the crack. Now crack lobster or the fresh tuna sushi/shashimi...that's some good eats  |

Welcome and happy 4th. I`m just a newbie, but you sure can learn a lot here. I have only made a couple of mistakes along the way and they were simply because I thought I had it covered and didn`t ask a question.
I`m getting hungry....... GFS |
Re: Some pics and an intro
Welcome to the site! What part of Andros are you located? We go to Moxey Town to bonefish.
