Sounds like it could be a good deal. Pictures would help with the quality of the advice.

Does sound like a good deal if the trailer is serviceable and if the bracket is one you can use

I had a guy call me with a 23 Sceptre here in Tampa, transom and floor are supposed to be good - trailer will roll for a short while - said needs paint, has new tank he just wants what he has in it. $2000 - it has 2 140 Rudes that have been sitting awhile but those damn things may run too. My boat was at his house when I first saw it and he knows SeaCrafts. I just never mentioned it on here but I do have a number and he's just down the street. Transoms are just sooo much work

Wow...I think a pair of running rudes is worth that.

i picked my '72 23' up for 1000 bucks! needs a new trailer or axle(S) replaced along with tires, hubs, etc. all the hardwork on the boat has been done though. old transom remove and the deck. either i overpayed or 2000 sounds liek a good deal! not to mention i still have to find a rocket launcher, bracket, etc.

I said THEY MIGHT RUN, they are pretty tough bastads but they have been sitting yrs - he did put a new tank in it though and had started on it. If the motors ran it would be a steal, I'm sure you could try with a 6 gallon tank. He has 2K in and wants 2K out- all I know other than a phone number

The Tsunami I bought had a pair of 89 yammies on it...the steering arms were thin as paper....and they had bird nests under the cowlings.....but a little effort later they fired up and box had 105lbs compression in every cylinder...so you can't count them out. ;)
