thru the hull transducers
 
would like some opions on thru hull the transducers.The local pro @ justified fibreglass said before i reinstall the sole i should consider this.I,m a little nervous about that hole in my hull allthough i would get him to do it.

We have a thruhull transducer on our 27' contender. wouldnt do it any other way. never have to worry about water seeping into your transom. in fact, im about to begin a 23' seacraft restoration and im definately going to have one installed.

I installed an Airmar tilted element bronze in my 23'. I would glass a reinforcement block inside if possible. I made epoxy covered plywood for that and h.s. pickup but would glass them if the deck comes up. I wouldn't want it any other way after having thru-hull. There are pics of mine on this site.

The best method and yes let him do it, no transom ducer will compare
