the last pic is when we still had the I/O in the boat,and this was the usual situation when we went out,something would break , the batteries would run down,a hose would come off,or as you can see in the pic there was smoke pouring out of the vent holes and the rod holders while we were running alond. I just happened to look back , my wife was sitting on the engine cover and did not notice the smoke as it was being carried away due to our forward movement, also there was so much play in the outdrive you could not keep the boat straight when idling along . as you can see in the pics we went with outboard on the bracket with no regrets
