garmin 440 questions
 

Can anyone tell me how to create waypoints. I have years of experience with a handheld 12XL and a 185 chartplotter/depth finder.No problems with either . Now I have bought a 440 GPS with the maps already loaded. I just took a trip from Carolina Beach NC to Myrtle Beach with no problems using all the functions,it seems to be a great unit especially considering what they cost.I have offshore coordinates logged in on my handheld but I want to put them in this unit.I choose waypoints and I never get the option to enter numbers . The owners manual seems to say you use the map pointer to select your waypoints.I've tryed every option I can figure out with no results.Help!!!
