Re: My bullet boat

Thank you she was built right here in NJ. The company (as far as I know) had two models mine and a 13' speed boat. They were semi custom and the guy I bought it from knew the builders and had a hand in building her thought that was cool. The only real problem is the keel was "chopped off " when they built it so it has a flat spot on the bottom helps on the drift, but when it starts to get ruff it pounds alittle. Oh well most boats have a compromise somewhere right?

A friend mine had one of those 13's when i was kid. He had a 40 mariner on it, it was a real fun little boat! Good find!!

Right on anotherhassel. Looks like you figured out the posting process. She looks fast. Put one of those little v plates on her, double the horsepower, and drive it like youre auditioning for a James Bond movie-- you won't even feel the bumps :D
Here's what I mean as posted by Bigshrimpin - check it out

Re: My bullet boat

The Seacraft 21 does what was seen in the video. While it does not run 100+ it still behaves exactly like the speedboat at 48-53 Mph. It has a Pad as described about 7" wide so the boat feels like it is floating, only the inner part of the keel and the pad are in the water the rest of the transom and out board panels are out the boat is riding very high and it feels like it is floating, and unstable. It is indeed very scary. I tried to describe this feeling of flying and related it to Moeslys "My Flying Machine" The few that have had a ride know.
In the Pics Below, more evident in the 2nd pic. I beleive they were running 2 ea. 55hp Homelites. Notice how high the hull is on.the water. Now imagine what it does with a well Trimmed Yami 2000 EFI. :o :o :o

I remember Carla telling me they raced with twin Homelite 55 4 strokes. I could be wrong. Carla is that right? I thought it strange that Homelite made 4s.
Hey Steve did you roast the 454 or are you just brushing up on your chine walking skills?

It's a very long story. I'll try to make it short. A week after we got back from Bimini I was going up the river and hit a sumerged stump as a result it knocked the outdrive off tearing a large hole in the gimble housing and damn near sinking the boat. If it wouldn't been of some fast thinking along with the boat having 2 rule 2000's pumps and my daughter being on my waverunner behind me, she would of been a goner. So I had to remove the 454 to get to the gimble housing. While the engine was out I discovered that it had 2 bent exhaust valves (that’s another story), so at that point it gave me an excuse to buy a ZZ502/502 crate engine. This engine has the steel crank, heavy-duty rods, and forged pistons, which the 454 didn't have. The funny thing is that the 454 ran fine. You couldn't tell that it had two cylinders down on compression. As a matter of fact it was that way when I took it to Long Point and Bimini. Also I did a lot of up grading while the boat was down. The only thing that I don't like is the 502 doesn't cut up like the 454 did; however a little cam change will take care of that. :D

I like the rod in the holder without a reel. Based on the smiles on those gals, it must have been used for "Cockpit Spanking" or something
