Awlgrip alternative?

Guys, I'm doing some minor gel coat repair on one of the chines and the boat is painted with Awgrip. From what I've read it's pretty tricky to apply and probably beyond my expertise. Any suggestions on alternatives?

You need to use a good high-build epoxy paint. Epoxy Mastic is excellent, designed for steel exposed to salt-water, and requires both sanding and a fiberglass primer.
Uraglow Gold is good, as is Interlux Perfection, both are topside paints.

AwlGrip is really not that hard to apply, however it is extreamly hard to color match once it has fully cured.Alexseal is my new favorite, much eaiser to match and not nearly as bad on your health.

Thanks Frank & Joey.
Will the paints you recommend be able to match the Awgrip color (cream)? This is the color when I bought the boat.
Can any of these be brushed on or should they be sprayed? Because it's on the bottom, I'm not as worried about it's appearance (although I would like it to look good).

all can be either brushed, rolled, or sprayed.

Please, please, please; be sure to use a respirator!

Awlgrip is a great product, but can be very toxic. It has been reported that a man painted his boat using Awlgrip, cleaned up and went in for dinner and died while sitting at the table! The fumes had destroyed his liver!=== Be sure to read all instructions and precautions!

Good luck, take care and be well.

Lew, I'm leaning away from Awgrip but will use a respirator for whatever I decide on.
What do you guys think of Sterling paints?
