20 MA/ Bracket/ 20 inch Shaft

I am considering bringing my 1979 20 MA (without raised floor or trim tabs) down to Hermco for a transom enclosure, livewell and bracket. Is it not possible to use a 20" shaft (1999 Johnson 175, with 140 original hours) for this application? I do not want to repower, but if this is just not possible, I need to know sooner than later.

If true, then I will be selling a 2008 Yamaha F60 NIC, and mounting the V-6 175, and hydarulic jack plate to my 1988 Boston Whaler Sport 15. I know that this may sound NUTS but there is a method to my madness. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks. Part II.

Don't know the answer but here's a $500-600 "plan B" in the case 25" is required on the bracket:

Sure wish I could take my rig to Hermco.
