Engine controls

I have just bought a Morse SL3 mount for my 1982 18sf and cant see how it can be mounted on top of the consul and still get full throttle opening as it comes up against the consul face before it does, any ideas or am i being dumb. The previous owner had the control mounted on a wooden box scewed to the side of the consul and i was hoping to do away with that.

Re: Engine controls

Some require a starboard or similar non-corroding material shim underneath and some I've seen are tapered, like a wedge.

Ya you might have to put a block under it at least, maybe even cut at an angle that tilts it back some, pretty simple with wood.

You can also adjust the handle position.
