1987 23' Seacraft cc - history?
 

Does anyone here know any history on this boat? I've seen various forum posts voicing opinions that mid/late 80's hulls are significantly inferior to other years. True/false?

lookimg at the pics it looks like it may have sunk or it's very dirty look closely at the motor and you may want to look at kerm's boat in the for sale area

it says on water accident? seeing the bow ring ripped off makes me think it happened on a trailer. who knows. me personally i wouldnt pay 10 grand for it. for 10 grand you should look thru the classifieds on here.

That boat is worth 5 grand IF it didn't sink...

That boat collided with something in the water.

The dirt is just from being in a dry stack.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. I came to similar conclusions. Hard to tell w/o a firsthand inspection, but judging by the equipment shelved at the helm and the shot of the batteries & wiring, it doesn't appear to have sunk. IF it didn't, and IF the hull didn't sustain structural damage, it MIGHT be worth $5K. Whatever it hit (or hit it), obviously wasn't bottom or dock pilings. Notice the throttle/gear lever appears broken off?

Any reservations about the 1987 hull build?

What I particularly like on these boats is the enclosed transom & extended bracket. Am I correct in thinking that they never came from the factory that way making any transom+bracket an aftermarket modification?
