1987 23' Seacraft cc - history?
Does anyone here know any history on this boat? I've seen various forum posts voicing opinions that mid/late 80's hulls are significantly inferior to other years. True/false?

That boat is worth 5 grand IF it didn't sink...

That boat collided with something in the water.
The dirt is just from being in a dry stack. |

Thanks for the thoughts guys. I came to similar conclusions. Hard to tell w/o a firsthand inspection, but judging by the equipment shelved at the helm and the shot of the batteries & wiring, it doesn't appear to have sunk. IF it didn't, and IF the hull didn't sustain structural damage, it MIGHT be worth $5K. Whatever it hit (or hit it), obviously wasn't bottom or dock pilings. Notice the throttle/gear lever appears broken off?
Any reservations about the 1987 hull build? What I particularly like on these boats is the enclosed transom & extended bracket. Am I correct in thinking that they never came from the factory that way making any transom+bracket an aftermarket modification? Charles |
