1974 Seacraft rough water video
 

Several months ago,there was some talk of possibly trying to get copies of the original Seacraft rough water video that was shown in still pictures, on the 1974 catalog.

Just curious if Anyone has any updates or info on it?It would be a nice piece of history to have and watch.

John - Last I heard . . . Bill Potter was working with Bruce Brown Films to restore the original film. http://www.brucebrownfilms.com/ I've seen a video copy of the film that Trayder had and it's some amazing footage . . . especially when you consider that it was 1973/1974. There is a short clip where the waves are HUGE and cresting. To think Bruce Brown and the film crew ran 800 miles in those condition over a 5 day period is unbelievable.

I have been dying to see that video since I was a kid. Every other kid in my neighborhood had the Farrah Fawcett poster on their bedroom wall; I had that picture from the '74 catalog. Very interested to see what comes of this.

Hell I'd be willing to exchange my poster of Raquel Welch,(showing my age) in a loin cloth,for that Seacraft video.I'd even force all my friends with different boat brands to watch it.

Seriously though,it would be a fantastic piece of video for many of us Seacraft nuts.

I was lucky enough to see that video a few years ago. Pretty cool stuff, especially the trailer launch.

Is segment in one of Bruce Brown's movies? If so I may have it on VHS & could capture it off the tape.

does anyone have any pictures from the shoot that they can post, i only found one picture in the 1974 catalog on the site, looks nasty and i would love to see more?
