Fast 20'

Saw a yellow 20' SF yesterday on Tampa Bay with a Mercury Verado on a Porta Bracket running alongside the Courteny Campbell Causeway at over 55mph. He had a very tall console and windshield that looked like a Mako console. Anybody know this boat?

I was driving about 54-55 on the Causeway, and he was going just a little bit faster than I was, with a little chine-walking, right next to me in the channel on the north side. I didn't see the motor hp.

But it was definitely a beautiful sight :D

What were you do driving so slow. Don't you know the speed limit is 65+ 10 ;)

I've never seen it yet but thats about it for speed on that causeway. I don't go up there that much, usually a little further down the bay, he may live on the water up there as lots of canal front around there.

I would love just to have seen how it sat in the water with a Verado. Those things are heavy! Even the 4 cylinder ones.

My father had a 1976 Seafari in the late 80's early 90's and the envinrude 175 blew up...He took it down to the local Evinrude shops and they had a left over 1989 Evinrude 200XP huge engine. Needless to say he bought it had it installed the boat sat nicely in the water and all but it was a total rocket ship clocked at a measured mile at around 62mph the only thing in the water was the last foot and a half of the boat and the lower (Scary Wide Open) unit we have pictures i have to go dig them up and post youd be amazed no porpoising and yes she sure did chine walk....
