Hey!
I like your lights ! I did some water proof LED strips in blue on my 20' SF as well. Since these phone camera shots I have installed 2 more strips under the vertical rocket launcher style rod holders on each side on console. On anchor all lights are lit on Running/Nav only the front deck is lit..Cool

how are the blue lights at night? ive always heard that red was best for night time visibility. recently i heard that green was ok for the eyes at night too. i want to start doing more night fishing.

I fished at night with a little battery powered coleman type lantern with a white light and didn't mind it as long as it was dim. When I started looking for more permanent lights the LEDs were pretty expensive especially in colors. So when I found them at Cabela's in white cheap I picked them up. Six foot lenght for under $15 if I remember right. I have not used them yet so I don't know how bright they are but at 33 watts I figure it can't be too bad.

I ordered my Led strips off ebay from Hong kong super seller.
These were flexible 12" long with 24 blue LED's. I ordered 3 strips first time for 24.00 ( includes shipping ) Then I ordered 3 more. I ordered 3 white strips and added 1 under console for shelf lighting and cut one in half for lighting under my goody basket under Helm to light up helm seat area for tying tackle at night. I have 4 strips up under gunwals 2 on each side forward and 2 under rod holder racks on each side of console. As i mentioned when anchored all blue lights are on, and when running the 4 in front. It does hamper night vision just a little , but I wanted blue and not red. I have a cyclops spot light if I need some quick "eye" at night. It looks pretty tough at night when I leave on the blues and pop the anchor light out when we are moored at castaways under the Kemah bridge and having some grub and grog. Had alot of compliments.

The purpose of the blue is for trolling but not for fish

check out strings here - I have the blue under my T Top, they come with sticky on each module for easy placement and they've been up there a yr +

Well I installed some underwater lights, the West marine 99 dollar ones are Attwood 3" model. I bought the Attwood 5" lights ( pair) and installed them on wither side of motor. They work really well in green down here on the upper Gulf Coast ( Galveston). 180 per light = 360 total. Thats half of what Ocean LED charges for the same basic light. And they have 10 year warranty http://i358.photobucket.com/albums/o...terlights1.jpg http://i358.photobucket.com/albums/o...wood_light.gif http://i358.photobucket.com/albums/o...terlights2.jpg

Scarab Chris on Fla Sportsman makes underwater LEDS and LED spreaders - very reasonable and good quality - he literally designed and makes them himself. He;s easy to find in the boating section over there or do a search
