trailer needed

hey all
i am in need of a trailer for my father. The marina where he stores his boat is making him move it and there is no other marina around him( he lives in horseshoe beach florida). we are looking for a tandem axel trailer for a 26 foot boat . i know a tandem axel is small ,but the boat only has to go 7 miles to his house, where he can park it there. Time is of the importance since we have less then one week to do this. thank you all

Good luck in finding a trailer.

I know it isn't your first choice, however, you probably should look around and find someone with a hydraulic trailer who could at least move the boat to your father's yard work can be blocked up until you get a regular trailer. I don't know about down there, but sometimes getting someone who is available to do that on short notice can be a little challenging.

Re: trailer needed

You probably thought of this but marine repair shops often have empty trailers for the purpose of hauling slipped boats to the shop for maintenance and repair. You might hit them up to rent you one for a day or 2 so you can pull and park your dad's boat while you look for the right trailer or a new slip or rack.

Trailer shops may also help you out. Everybody could use an extra buck right now so you might make a few calls and propose such a deal. Good luck.

thanks all for the help. my dad has seemed to find one he can use to get the boat home, and then will tackle the problem of getting it off the trailer.
