sarasota, FL, anyone know guide?

heading down to sarasota in october for a long weekend of debauchery w/ some old friends. wondering if any of you florida boys know of any good guides in the area. would prefer to go offshore but could go either way. also, ive never been down there, anything i cant miss out on in the area? any info would be appreciated.
