23 center console-v drive

a friend of mine,he was so impressed with my boat,he's in the market for a center console like mine.he went to look at one that was a v-drive.i thought the sea crafts were either conventional inboard, stern drive or outboard,is that right ?

Looks like maybe the Scepter's had the V-drive and CC's were straight inboards? That engine box appears to be further aft than the console on a cc.

Here's the CC version (I think I posted the Sceptre link)...

It looks like the shaft angle is the same but I suppose for the sake of balance or fit they would have moved the engine fore or aft as necessary. Interesting point about the v-drive vs straight inboard, Denny. They don't mention the v drive on the CC but they share the same transmission...Happy Labor Day Weekend!
