Picture of radon like Seacraft

Anyone have a picture of that Radon inspired Tsunami that was converted into a red, Vessel Assist boat? Originally for sale in California and then I think it showed up in Georgia.

I just got back from my honeymoon in Hawaii which is infested with Radons. Nice boat, built by Don Radon an even nicer guy...

Is this the one?
Ithink it was modified by Anderson Boats in Santa Barbara area, home of Radon and Davis also, I think... I think this was selling for 24k asking or so, don't know what it went for.

Not 100% sure that is the one. The one I remembered seeing for sale was red....and it appeared that the vessel assist lettering had been removed.

Thanks for sharing, though. Any more pictures of that one available?

Ed - Gilly's right . . . that was the seacraft that traveled from CA to Georgia and back to CA. Radon has a totally different hull (that is equally as ugly as the pic gilly posted). Those radons are designed for tracking straight and surfing down the face of large pacific swells. They are some ugly arse boats, but very functional (on the west coast) and very expensive. I don't think they would work well out here . . . swells are too small and chop is too big.

Ed-

Congrats on the getting married thing!

I dont remember the red boat you are describing. The one that Gil posted is the one that kept popping up like Waldo for sale across the country and up and down the coast of California.

Lots of Radons and Davis boats over here...the bottom of the hull is kinda neat looking.... but they are good for one thing like Tim mentioned....I'll take my old seacraft any day

Thanks, Strick!

I am very familiar with their hull design as I had several conversations with Don Radon about his boats around 2000 (before I bought my Mako in 01). I do recall from those conversations that the flattened bow shape would not work well out here.

Anyway...was just thinking out loud as to how a seacraft hull would look with various cabin/pilot house adaptations.
