84 Seacraft --what is it worth

I have a 1984 SeaCraft -23cc Superfisherman. My brother and I might need to sell it because of a couple reasons and wanted to see if someone could advise us on the value.

This is the classic 23 Seacraft. A boater’s boat. 1996 Johnson 200 with 800 hours. Just has the motor completely serviced at Riverside Marine. Blew cylinder 3 hours later. Hull is in very good condition with some oxidation on dark blue paint. T-Top with new canvas. Nice dive platform on back. Furuno color fish finder, Garmin GPS. Float-on trailer with new axles. I’ve had this boat for 10 years.

What would value be with the engine having a blow cylinder? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance

In this market, 95% of boat prices are way down. And generally, you will be dealing with a lot of bottom feeders. However, I've had two clients with showroom conditions boats that sold within 88%-94% of their asking price in the last 4 months.

With that said, my gut tells me that you'll probably get somewhere between $5,000 and $8,000 for the hull and trailer, depending on condition which will vary based on personal opinions of each prospective buyer.

I am sure others will chime in as well, good luck.

There was a guy who posted a similar boat for $16K, don't know if he had any luck selling it.

Guy came to look at it last night. His mechanic took a look at the engine and there is a hole in the block -so that is shot. I am figuring the engine parts could be sold off for about 750. SO -I will probably be selling the hull and trailer--dos anyone know a good place to put it up for sale? I was going to try craiglist or ebay. thanks

I would think since you got information from this site. That listing on here would be good.

If folks are looking for a Seacraft they generally look here first. ;)

As a point of reference, one of our members has posted his 70's 23 Savage for $4100 on CL W/O power and trailer is extra I believe. I sold my decent 80's 18 with no value to the motor with trailer for $2900. Trident is dead-on with his price estimate of between $5,000 and $8,000 for the hull and trailer with boats that are AVERAGE CONDITION of that vintage. That 80's 23SF for sale here with old power was an exception with a price in the high teens because of it being presented and looked to be in pristine condition.
