Re: window gaskets
It may be gasket number TP139 from American marine, although don't hold me to it.
I just measured some that I had left over from my 74 Tsunami restoration, and it looks like that's the size. When I ordered the gasket weatherstrip from them,I spoke to another guy as well as Mike, and he knew the part #. Installing it is a piece of cake, although a bit time consuming.I rounded the edges on stiff 2" and 4" putty knives. Lay the strip on the glass and insert the putty knife blade under the lip of the seal and gently push. You'll feel and see it flatten out a bit when it's firmly in place. I replaced all the glass in my boat, and held it in place with silicone,as per American marine's recommendations. Here's a few pictures of the replacement seal that I got from American marine.I think it was about .60 or .70 cents per foot. *** These pictures are Magnified a bit,so the seal looks a bit thicker than it is.the widest part measures approx 11/16",and the back side width is a bit shy of 7/16" http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/easy2/IMG_1851.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/easy2/IMG_1852.jpg |
Re: window gaskets
John-
what type of window did you replace with Plexiglas or tempered glass? strick |
Re: window gaskets
I replaced mine with tempered glass. I looked at a couple that had been replaced with plexiglass and they were scratched as well as "foggy". Glass is more expensive.

Re: window gaskets
Strick,
I also replaced them with tempered glass, like et did.I used the old plastic side and center windows as patterns.A local glass shop cut them to fit,and sent them out to be tempered. |
Re: window gaskets
did you use clear or smoke for side windows what about the curved in cuddy george

Re: window gaskets
I used all clear glass, but tinted was also available.Luckily the Tsunami/Sceptre models are all flat glass.
