USCG Capt Eugene F. Trainor
Brothers Father-in-law passed away from the dreaded Alzheimers disease.
link "In his retirement, Mr. Trainor was an active volunteer in the boat shop and on the Mayflower II at Plimoth Plantation, at the Hull Lifesaving Museum, the USS Constitution inner-city youth program, as well as serving a term on the board of the Scituate Historical Society. Always interested in history, especially maritime history" He was very talented, especially amazed me with wood carving! :) Time for an OUZO shot! - Nick |
Re: USCG Capt Eugene F. Trainor
Most respectively, most sad. Through all that I have lost to cancer, this disease really scares me...all of my family still had their mental faculties. Family on the Cape to my Dad's woodworking abilities, I share your loss.
Joining you for a shot of Sambuca in memory of my grandfather and father, respectively. Sure do miss them... Nick, Prayers to you and yours. Be strong, And be well. Part II. |
Re: USCG Capt Eugene F. Trainor
My deepest condolences. I lost my grandmother several years ago to alzheimers and have more family members dealing with it now. We have our memories, though. Godspeed!

Re: USCG Capt Eugene F. Trainor
Our condolences Nick,
One of my favorite childhood memories was a family day trip to see Old Ironsides. My father said I asked as many questions as everyone else combined. The Southern oak planking fitted on the diagonal was what earned her namesake. I spent some of my paper route money I was saving for a bike to buy a model and I loved making it. He had a wonderful life. Remember him fondly and often. Cheers, Sandy and Janet |

OUZO-
Have a double shot for me. Sorry to hear about Mr. Trainor... Been hanging out at the Merrit Island boat factory waiting for a boat that is not ready. Looks like I will fly back to Boston tomorrow and will have to come back to FLorida to pick up the boat next week. Will give you a call when I am back in town. |
