Propellor Suggestions.

Aloha again every one.

I scooped up my first boat today, and she's the 89 Seacraft 20 that I mentioned yesterday. I went and looked at her, and the pictures they had posted didn't do her justice. I'm stoked.

I found a 2006 140 Zuke that is coming in from another island that I'm going to throw on her, and my question is: what props do you guys with the same setups use. I'm getting a 4 blade stainless with 15 out of the deal, and I'm curious as to if thats the way to go or not. Any and all advice will be helpful!

Is that a 4-blade stainless 15" pitch? What's the diameter? Is it a stock zuke prop?

Yessir, sorry for the ambiguity. No it is not a stock prop, although I do not know the brand at the moment, I'll give him a call. Its a 4 blade stainless prop with 15" pitch and is 13.5" in diameter.

The next thing I need to know is the gear ratio for the lower unit. Anybody?

Not exactly sure but I know most of the Zukes have a lower gear ratio than 2 strokes to make up the hole shot. They usually use bigger in Dia. props than the 2 strokes - I would first check the sizes on the standard 17" pitch prop from Zuke for comparision
