soft area in floor ...ideas?

Today while inside the boat I sound that I have a soft area in the rear side of my floor. It is about 1 foot wide and 3 ft long. It not all that bad but it will only get worse and I would rather tackle it now.
The rest of the floor is solid.
without ripping up the whole floor what would be the best way to tackle this?

Thanks for the info!!

What I did is I outlined the damaged area cut it out preserving the skin.
Underneath it was really wet.
I took out all the wet wood and I dug in under the lip around the cut out part with various tools. I remembered some of you using a small chain saw and I pulled an electric one I have and that did the trick,

Next use some marine ply and expoxy and then replace the skin cutout.

This has led me to go and just paint the whole boat so I may have a spring project in the making. Great MORE SANDING AND FAIRING MY FAVORITE!
Guess I better be nice to my brother in law that has a boat since it going to take longer than I thought

jorge, that wood is really wet looking. i would consider going out farther to get to dry wood. you already cut it open. its not going to be any worse to go farther to get good wood. also what did you use to cut that? looks like a grinder in the pcture but not sure?
