1969 20' Seafari Restoration
 

I just picked up my next project boat from another CSC member. Its a 1969 20' Sefari. looks like the old running gear was OMC (thats a huge hole in the transom) not to worry going to replace the transom and add a bracket. Progress and photos will follow the project and any tips would be appreciated as well. Thanks

I am getting ready to start the transom. I have never done a transom job from the inside; always cut the outter skin and gone that way. What is the best way to do this. I have grinded the inside skin smooth and cut and fit the plywood...how do you bond it to the transom skin? I was thinking of drilling holes and putting some through bolts to tighten down on until the epoxy oozes out. Any thoughts?

Strick's transom from the inside. Beware though, once you start reading that thread you won't stop and then you'll go back through it again, and again. I find myself referencing it all the time and then just spending an hour looking at the pictures again.
