New to me toys again. Stern vents.

Thanks Richard!
I get to cut more holes in the boat. Now I have to move the bilge thru hulls.

Is slightly lower better? For the thru hulls that is.

One of my silent mistakes will now be covered. :o That`s why I have the starboard stern box on port. Fits, but not
properly.

Cheers,
GFS

Do go cutting just yet! I'll send them out Monday. I placed my bilge thru hull midway between the rubrail and the water line, I thought about lowering it, but I did'nt want to have to worry about water comming in while fishing, or running and pitching in rough seas. I did mount the thru hull for the live well low so that it would drain well- the thru hull for the live well is lower than the live well drain.

Question, why are putting vents on an outboard, just curious

Dr Gucci said the 23s benefit from the vents and my deck will be happier.

His diabolical plan will be mostly done then! Conversion to a Potter build 20SF. Sandy, the next step is to speed up the transom rot situation :D.

Seriously-Those vents with the correct ducting does help get air below deck.

Almost ready to PM Dr. Gucci for a couple of stickers.

Potter Built
by slackers `89.
It will be upside down in protest of slackers inability to use a jig for cutting my dash and console. I could go on, but I don`t want to let her see this. She reads all my posts.

I just moved the ducer and the holes were dry, dry, dry.
Resealed the transom cap w/ 5200 too. Maybe the #1 source of intrusion. Seal everything you can. Every screw you do is one more place you save. I don`t have a Pooh- Bah cave, and rain is my enemy.

What is the proper ducting?
Since I only have two.....one fore and one aft? Or just like the book says
