dash hole cover up
Old yeller needed some attention on its dash and electrical system so last night and today after work I jumped on it, I ripped out all the old wireing in the whole boat and made a new wireing harness with new power and ground to the battery, new wires for lights, bilgepump and auto switch ,fuel sender wires and a few extra wires for added stufff down the road, I installed a new 8 gange switch panel wired it up , I added a Perko battery on/off switch in the back at the battery and mounted a Gill offshore battery hold down bracket ,I rewired the mast light on the windshield and got new bulbs in it and got it working, I replace the bilge pump and auto float switch and ran a new speedo tube to the pitot, then I rapped all the wires in a black plastic loom and wire tied it all up. the dash had a bunch of holes in it from old switches and guages so i went and got some teak and made some plates to cover the holes, I added a fuel guage and a volt meter and a rocker switch for the tilt and trim and installed them in the new panels , I still need to finish hooking up the wires behind the dash to the new guages but I think it made it look alot better, heres a few photos of the dash. before and after.
