Seacraft 23ft going real high in the bow

This is from the wife and 6 year old boy. We have a 23ft with 2 engines 200 hp. We are scared when we go fast and go up on plane. We do not want to ride on the boat. We have trim tabs. Suggestions for how to make it not go up so high or is it normal. Tara

Tara, try burying the trim tabs all the way down before accelerating, this should help a little, however it sounds like the boat may be a little stern heavy, so tabs may not help completely. You can also try to put as much weight forward as possible. But remember, its a SeaCraft it isnt gonna hurt you, in fact its a race bred hull, and the more time you have going fast, the more you will get used to it,and appreciate its great ride!

Ryan is correct. To stop the bow from pointing at the sky, extend the tabs fully before ever shoving the throttles forward. You'll also get on plane in less time. Once on plane, you can adjust the tabs for the best trim and ride.

Make sure the engines are all the down also.
