It's good that you rescued that old boat. What kind of shape is it in otherwise?

soft spots on the floor. Port side i already cut out and replaced. Now i see the starboard side needs to be done also. Seadrive was taken off and sold. Were the eliminated the motor cut out and made it a flat transom the floor was not done right so that has been cut out also. Other then that she is sound. needs paint and some TLC. Aside from the running lights and tires the trailer was in good shape. Hope to splash her by next summer...

There have been many master pieces painted over "used" canvas! You've got the basics and you can't beat the lines of these "ladies!"

This is the port side floor. The soft spots wernt the worst. But figured if im going to do it im going to do it right the first time.

The 6 inch access port was put in for gas lines probably. They cut the stringer oped when they installed it and never bothered fixing it. So i had to get into that also.

Floor started to be glasses and screwed down. Screws came out after the epoxy cured the next day..

The screws have since all been taken out and the old skin was re-glassed back onto the top of the wood. Im in the process of sanding out the edges to make it all smooth

Since i am sort of starting out with a blank canvas for the most part and i did grow up on a 23 seacraft every weekend. There are some mods that i am going to do to the boat to make her more mine and also that are more practical for the way i have always used the old boat and will use this one. The first mod i am doing will be the anchor locker. I like having a top access for the anchor locker. other wise its just space up front that we dont use excapt for access to our lights and occasionally some of us put speakers in the bow. i decided to use it for what it was intended, the anchor.

I am still working on the rest of the mod and will post pics as the work continues. But i have a pretty good idea of how the rest of the mod will go. ill keep everyone posted

When you are ready for all the goodies check out Birdsall Marine in WPB. I work there, I am not a salesman I build assemble and install tops, rocket launchers, seats, ect. (the grunt)but I really enjoy fixing up the older ones. Watching the transformation from when they come in and when they leave makes me love my job. SeaCrafts have always been a favorite of mine. Check out the pics of the boat my boss just picked up in the photos section. Tell em Doug sent ya..lol
